Since 1901, back in the days when electricity was still rare in the world, CLP started to provide energy for Hong Kong.  The everyday activity in this Asian world city today was powered by the electricity generated by CLP. In this metropolis, people got used to burying their heads in working for a living and boundaries were created among the population. As an enterprise that grew hand-in-hand with Hong Kong, CLP shouldered the responsibility of melting such boundaries and re-connecting people. Through its recent “Power Your Love” campaign, not only could electricity be transferred via its power grid, but love and caring could also be delivered to those in need through a human network.

This short case was a supplement to a lecture and was prepared for classroom discussion.
